Victoria Park

Victoria Park is located in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, at the eastern end of Broward Blvd. and Victoria Park Road. It is a small neighborhood park, with only off street parking. The Miami Limestone is a canal cut, on both sides of the bridge, with only the cross-bedded facies exposed at this location.

Fresh samples were obtained from an excavation site at the park, which was approximately 1.5 meters in depth. These samples were sandier than the Miami-Dade county samples, with Donax sp. fossils throughout. No outcrops were located any further north than this locale.
