Welcome

You can get access to most of Geosciences' licensed and managed software in our computer labs from anywhere! Could Apps provides access to software applications from any device – laptops, desktops, tablets, and smartphones – from any location at any time utilizing Citrix technology.

Getting Started

To start using our Cloud Apps, you simply need to download and install Citrix Receiver (one time only installation) and then login using your FAU NetID and password. 

Steps:
  1. Install Receiver
  2. Login
  3.  After logging in, click on the Geosciences Desktop icon OR the Apps button for individual software programs
  4. For individual Apps, click on the plus sign (+) on the left side of the Receiver window. then "All Applications" to select the apps you want to use.

Available Cloud Apps include the following software.  Those with an asterisk are also available as a "high Performance" apps with dedicated GPUs and accelerated 2D/3D graphics:

  • eCognition
  • Gimp
  • PythonWin
